Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Hoover Dam, less than 1 hour away, offers boating, swimming and visiting one of the 7 Modern Engineering Wonders of the U.S. Mount Charleston, at 7510 ft, is part of the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area. Every season has something to offer including hiking, skiing and snowboarding. Valley of Fire State Park, 60 miles away, is a geological wonderland. With incredible rock formations colored by Aztec Red sandstone. Within the park 2,500 years old petroglyphs can be seen.
